Anne Yen (Illustrator)

February 10, 2017

Natural science illustrator Anne Yen is a huge fan of snakes. Snakes and mushrooms and octopuses! She loves them and she wants you to love them, too! She also happens to be a really cool person and one of my oldest friends. No lie. We’ve been friends since middle school! I even have the photos to prove it! Luckily for you, I won’t be posting any pictures of my awkward twelve-year-old self, but I will share one of Anne’s gorgeous mushroom drawings. It’s bound to convert even the most ardent mushroom hater among you!

Scroll down to read Anne's inspirations below. Hopefully, you’ll discover something that you can really sink your teeth into. :-) Enjoy!

Everyone should tune into wfmu.

Artist Walton Ford (see image below).

I always love Sarah Jones. I’ve seen her a few times live. Her work is very relevant to these times.

As far as movies go, I loved the film What We Do in the Shadows.
