Today’s contributor, Cara Taylor, is a ceramic artist working in Easthampton, Massachusetts. Specializing in clean and simple pieces, Cara produces beautiful tableware and planters that feel really modern and fresh! Her color palettes are neutral and soft and she does really interesting things with shapes, folding and wrapping the clay into three-dimensional forms.
I actually first discovered her work when I bought one of her planter’s for my sister (see above). Every time I see it at her house, I get a little bit jealous, even though I’m the one who bought it for her! I’m really drawn to the subtle striping around the pot. It’s just the sort of lovely detailing that makes Cara’s work so special!
